Iris flower symbolizes trust, an impenetrable friendship and faith. Being on the receiving end of a bunch of irises is a great honour in Japan.

Lily, the meaning is depending on its color. A person given a white lily is considered pure and chaste. In contrast, tossing someone an orange one denotes hatred and anger.

Hydrangea means "pride" in Japan and are thought to provide peace and serenity to the recipient.




The yellow Chrysanthemum flower means "golden flower’’ and is prominent on the imperial family crest and conveys longevity of friendship and joy.




Ikebana flower is a form of art. There are schools that teach intricate arranging according to style and symbolism.
